On the morning of May 27, at the plenary session of the National Assembly, Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong presented the National Assembly's planned supervision program for 2024, and assessed the results of the implementation of the supervision program in 2022 and the first months of 2023.

Reviewing the results achieved in 2022 and the first months of 2023, Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong commented that the work of building and perfecting institutions has been strengthened with the development and promulgation of more than 23 important documents in supervision activities. Questioning and answering activities at National Assembly sessions and meetings of the National Assembly Standing Committee have been ensured to be in accordance with regulations, close to reality with many innovations.
The selected questions are all "hot" and pressing issues arising in economic and social life, promptly resolving shortcomings that voters and people are particularly concerned about, focusing on monitoring the implementation of promises made by Ministers, heads of sectors and the Prime Minister...

“Supervision of the settlement of complaints, denunciations and petitions by voters has been increasingly strengthened and has become a regular activity, contributing to strengthening the people’s and voters’ trust in the Party and the State. For the first time, the National Assembly Standing Committee has stipulated that monthly reports on petition work, settlement of petitions, denunciations and petitions by citizens be reviewed and discussed at meetings, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of petition work,” Mr. Bui Van Cuong stated.
Regarding the National Assembly's planned supervision program in 2024, Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong said that based on the provisions of the Law on Supervision Activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils, the characteristics of the situation in 2024 and proposals of the agencies, the National Assembly Standing Committee has selected 4 topics to submit to the National Assembly for consideration, decided to select 2 topics for supreme supervision, the remaining 2 topics will be assigned to the National Assembly Standing Committee to organize supervision.
Topic 2: Implementation of policies and laws on public service units from the issuance of Resolution No. 19-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 to the end of 2023 and related periods before and after.
Topic 3: Implementation of policies and laws on ensuring traffic order and safety from 2009 to the end of 2023 and related periods before and after.
Topic 4: Implementation of policies and laws on real estate market management and social housing development from 2015 to the end of 2023 and related periods before and after.
