The purpose is to widely propagate and educate the entire Party, cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and workers about the stature and significance of the August Revolution in 1945 and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam); educate the tradition of patriotism, the spirit of great solidarity, the desire for peace , the will to be self-reliant, self-reliant, self-respect and national pride; express deep gratitude to the generations who sacrificed their blood for national independence and unification; affirm the determination in the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
Through commemorative activities, we contribute to arousing and fostering people's trust and pride in the Party, the State and the country's renovation, bringing the country into a new era - an era of stable development and prosperity for the Vietnamese people.
Propaganda and celebration activities are organized in many rich and vivid forms, ensuring solemnity, practicality, effectiveness, focus, key points, suitable to the actual situation, in accordance with regulations and aimed at the people so that people can participate and benefit; closely linked with propaganda for Party congresses at all levels, the 1st Government Party Congress, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere, consolidating trust and solidarity within the Party and society.
The propaganda content focused on affirming the stature, historical significance, and contemporary value of the August Revolution in 1945 and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam as a brilliant milestone in history, opening a new era for the Vietnamese people. The Declaration of Independence read by President Ho Chi Minh at Ba Dinh Square on September 2, 1945 not only gave birth to the new Vietnam but also affirmed the national rights and human rights of our people before the whole world ; Our people, from the status of slaves, became masters of the country, masters of society, masters of their own destiny.
The propaganda content also emphasizes the reasons for victory and lessons learned; the creative application of the lessons of the August Revolution in the struggle for national liberation and reunification as well as in the cause of building, developing and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland. It honors the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam, which is the decisive factor in all victories of the Vietnamese revolution, from the August Revolution to the cause of protecting, building and developing the country today.
The propaganda contents of this period also focus on educating generations of Vietnamese people to imbue them with the morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking" and "remembering the person who planted the tree when eating the fruit" of the Vietnamese people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. Highlighting the outstanding achievements after 80 years of building, defending and developing the country in the fields of politics, economy, culture, society, national defense, security, foreign affairs, etc., especially after nearly 40 years of implementing the renovation policy initiated and led by the Party; affirming that our country has never had such a foundation, potential, position and international prestige as today; clarifying the inheritance and promotion of the value of the August Revolution in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
In addition, the propaganda content of this period focuses on the two 100-year goals set by the 13th National Party Congress. Specifically, by 2030 - the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding - Vietnam will become a developing country with modern industry and high middle income following a socialist orientation; by 2045 - the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam) - it will become a developed country with high income following a socialist orientation.
