Investing in infrastructure to serve tourism development

To meet the increasing demand of tourists, in recent years, Vinh Long province has invested in infrastructure to serve tourism development. Accordingly, in the field of public investment, in the period of 2021-2025, the province has balanced and allocated over 504 billion VND for 28 projects, investment projects to renovate, repair and upgrade national and provincial historical relics, communal houses, pagodas, etc.

Implementing the policy of supporting tourism development, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism disbursed 1.2 billion VND in support for 3 projects including: upgrading 3-star hotel Phuoc Thanh IV hotel, CocoHome homestay, Mekong River homestay...

Completed construction of tourism-related projects such as the road to My Hoa Tourist Area; the road connecting 4 communes of the island in Long Ho district; repaired the road to the Traditional House of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee...

In particular, the project with regional connectivity is the Dinh Khao bridge project connecting Vinh Long and Ben Tre provinces. For the inland waterway system, Vinh Long Passenger Port has been operating since 2021; the project of dredging the Muong Lo River is being implemented. In 2024, 2 bus routes Vinh Long - Can Tho; Vung Liem - Can Tho were put into operation to serve the travel needs of people, contributing to ensuring traffic safety and order and developing tourism in the province. In 2025, the bidding for the operation of the remaining 4 bus routes will continue.
