Resort project land "turned" into a golf course in Dong Anh, Hanoi

Recently, Hanoi City has been strengthening the implementation of State management of agricultural land and public land in the area. Chairmen of People's Committees of wards, communes and towns must resolutely and promptly handle violations (especially cases of self-conversion of land use purposes and illegal construction) in accordance with their authority and regulations as soon as such violations occur, compile records of violations beyond their authority, and report to the District People's Committee for handling in accordance with the law.

However, there are still many areas in the city that have not seriously implemented this. Reflecting to Nguoi Dua Tin, a large area of land at the Cau Doi Eco-Resort project in Dong Anh town (Dong Anh district, Hanoi ) was "magically transformed" into a golf course for illegal profit... it has been operating for many years but has not been thoroughly handled by the authorities.

Many areas of the Cau Doi Eco-Resort project (in Dong Anh town, Dong Anh district) were "magically transformed" into a golf course. According to Nguoi Dua Tin's investigation, the land was assigned to Co Loa Trade and Tourism Joint Stock Company to carry out the project.

However, up to now, Cau Doi Eco-Resort has not only not been implemented but has somehow "magically" transformed part of the Project into a golf course for rent to make a profit.

This golf course has an area of about 2.5 hectares. Inside there is a solidly built 3-storey practice building.

According to Nguoi Dua Tin's investigation, this area used to be the company's sports field, but has now been "magically transformed" into a golf course.

According to the representative of Dong Anh District People's Committee, there are violations and improper use.

Dong Anh District People's Committee also assigned Dong Anh Town People's Committee to inspect and establish records.

“The company has committed to dismantling, because they are in the process of adjusting the planning, so they are asking to gradually fix it. After adjusting the planning and implementing the project according to the planning, they will proceed with the dismantling,” said a representative of the Dong Anh District People’s Committee.

While the project planned as Cau Doi eco-resort has not taken shape for many years, the golf course is still operating openly, despite the authorities taking inspection measures.
