Dang Trong Minh Chau enters a new chapter with Illusion

On the evening of June 7, the third show of Vietnam International Fashion Week Spring Summer 2025 took place at Nguyen Du Stadium (HCMC).

When mentioning designer Dang Trong Minh Chau, people will immediately think of charming ao dai designs. He has left his mark at many seasons of Vietnam International Fashion Week with his ao dai collections. Gold, Gold Lang, Resurrection, Wood .

Coming to the 19th season of Vietnam International Fashion Week , Dang Trong Minh Chau entered a new chapter with evening gowns and cocktail dresses in addition to his strength in ao dai.

Although a rookie in the evening gown industry, Dang Trong Minh Chau scores with the Illusion collection.

Designs apply modern techniques such as heat transfer printing, 3D form building, cut-out and elaborate, meticulous hand-sewn attachment.

Miss Que Anh is a familiar muse of designer Dang Trong Minh Chau.

The main color scheme used by the designer includes black, white, red, and yellow with taffeta, organza, and artificial fur materials to create visual effects.

In this collection, the ao dai designs are also different from his usual traditional ao dai.

Designer Dang Trong Minh Chau said he chose black and white geometric patterns with the desire to convey the message that "the ao dai goes beyond reality to touch the depth of emotions".

The ao dai designs have creative combinations with the yếm dress to create a difference.

Model Minh Tu opened the show with a dress shaped like a sculpture, inspired by royal armor.

The highlight is the curvy lines, studded with sparkling stones, creating a sense of power. The skirt is flared, made from many layers of ruffles, creating a visual effect when moving.
