Dam Ha: Training to raise awareness of ecotourism and community in 2024

On October 3, Quang Ninh Department of Tourism coordinated with Dam Ha District People's Committee to organize a training course to raise awareness of ecotourism and community tourism in 2024.

Students practice some skills in communication and behavior with tourists.

At the training course, delegates who are leaders, officials, and civil servants in state management of tourism in communes and towns; cultural officials of communes and towns, specialized departments; heads and deputy heads of villages, hamlets, neighborhoods, and communities who are participating and want to participate in developing community tourism associated with developing rural tourism in the district listened to Mr. Pham Hai Quynh, Director of the Asian Tourism Development Institute, introduce and guide the steps to develop a plan to develop community tourism; a plan to build and implement a community ecotourism model in Quang An commune; and practical experience in implementing community tourism models in localities.

Trainees also surveyed and practiced implementing a community ecotourism model at Bach Van Trade and Service Cooperative, Tam Lang village, Quang An commune; practiced some skills in communication, behavior with customers, how to handle situations during tourism activities and asked and answered questions from real situations in the process of tourism development.

Through the training course, the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of tourism will be improved; cooperatives and communities that are participating and want to participate in developing community tourism in the district will know how to build and implement community tourism models effectively, contributing to introducing and promoting the image and local culture to attract tourists to visit and travel in Dam Ha district.
