Dak Nong seminar "Digital transformation of journalism for sustainable development"

At the seminar, delegates watched an overview clip on digital transformation in journalism, reflecting the trends and status of digital transformation of press agencies from central to local levels along with the development path of the Provincial Journalists Association in recent years.

Representatives of press agencies and branches also participated in discussions, exchanged opinions, and shared about the role, opportunities, and challenges of local press in the digital transformation process; methods and models of digital application in press activities; and advantages and difficulties in digital transformation at the grassroots level.

The discussion section opened up practical contributions and proposed specific solutions to improve the effectiveness of digital transformation in journalism, improve digital skills for reporters and journalists; the thoughts and aspirations of journalists to fulfill the mission of revolutionary journalism and contribute to the cause of Dak Nong journalism.

Speaking at the seminar, TUV, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh affirmed that digital transformation in journalism is no longer a trend, but an inevitable requirement.

Press agencies need to proactively innovate their thinking, organization and operation methods; clearly identify that digital transformation is not only about investing in equipment and technology, but more importantly, changing the mindset of journalism, reorganizing the news and article production process in a professional, multi-platform direction.
