Dak Nong issues technical and economic norms on varieties

Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 16/2025 stipulating economic and technical norms for the production of plant and aquatic varieties.

Accordingly, technical and economic standards are applied to key crop varieties such as: coffee (self-seeded and grafted), pepper, avocado (self-seeded and grafted), grafted durian and aquatic varieties.

Norms are an important basis for building unit prices, estimating, checking and accepting the quality of seed products using the State budget.

Particularly for the production of coffee seedlings, to grow 1,000 trees that meet the standards for planting, it is necessary to use about 0.8 kg of seeds, 3.69 m³ of growing medium (including 2.95 m³ of soil and 0.74 m³ of decomposed manure), 18.5 kg of phosphate fertilizer, 1 kg of NPK fertilizer and 0.1 liter of pesticides. The survival rate of the trees must be 90% or more, the tree height must be 30 cm and the age of the tree must be 4-5 months.

For grafted durian varieties, the technical requirements are even more stringent: the tree must be 80cm or taller, the graft diameter must be 0.8cm, the root system must be well developed and not crooked. Each 1,000 seedlings requires 1,000 large bags, nearly 5m³ of growing medium and 1,000 grafted shoots. The standard labor rate is 19.52 working hours and consumes about 0.85 kWh of electricity.

In the aquaculture sector, carp seed production requires a stocking density of 100-150 fish/m² and a minimum survival rate of 50%. Each ten thousand fish needs to be supplemented with 0.8 kg of soybeans, 2 chicken eggs, 10% of high protein feed and consumes about 200kWh of electricity.
