At the conference, leaders of Military Region 4 and Military Region 5 reported on preparations for the Party Congress of the two Military Regions for the 2025-2030 term.

For Military Region 4, the congress was determined with the theme "Promoting the heroic tradition of Military Region 4, building a clean and strong Party organization, a lean, strong and elite armed force of the Military Region; solid defense of the Military Region, strong national defense, contributing to the successful implementation of the task of building and firmly protecting the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam" and the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development".

In the draft Political Report, the Party Committee of Military Region 4 identified breakthroughs in the new term as: Building a strong, compact and elite armed force of the Military Region, building strong local military agencies at all levels to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation; quality of training, education and training, building discipline, promoting the cultural values ​​of Uncle Ho's soldiers in his homeland; promoting digital transformation and application of science and technology.

The Party Congress of Military Region 5 for the 2025-2030 term with the theme "Promoting tradition, focusing on building a clean and strong Party organization, a revolutionary, disciplined, elite and modern armed force of the Military Region as the core to build a strong national defense, meeting the requirements of the task of building and protecting the Fatherland in the new situation" and the motto "Democracy - Solidarity - Discipline - Creativity - Innovation"; 3 breakthroughs: Innovation, improving the quality of training, meeting the requirements of combat missions in the new situation, focusing on building discipline, strictly abiding by the law, discipline and ensuring safety; promoting the application of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in performing the tasks of the Military Region's armed forces; improving the leadership capacity and combat strength of Party committees at all levels, associated with building a contingent of cadres with sufficient qualities, abilities and prestige, meeting the requirements of the tasks.

After listening to the Head of the General Department of Politics present the assessment report on the congress preparation work of the two Party Committees, the delegates continued to contribute opinions on the congress preparation work and especially supplemented, emphasized, and clarified some contents in the political reports of the two Party Committees.

Concluding the conference, General Nguyen Tan Cuong praised Military Region 4 and Military Region 5 for doing a good job of preparing for the congress and evaluating and drafting documents for the congress of the two Party Committees that were carefully and seriously prepared; accurately assessing the leadership results in the 2020-2025 term; clearly identifying the direction, goals, and leadership solutions in the coming term. The draft review report of the Party Committees of the two units for the 2020-2025 term demonstrated high combativeness; objectively, honestly, and appropriately assessed the leadership, direction, and organization of task implementation in the past term; pointed out limitations, shortcomings, causes, and proposed solutions to overcome and correct in the coming term.
