Hanoi Radio and Television strives to spread authentic theatrical art values

Television Stage is a program produced by Hanoi Radio and Television under the direction of the Hanoi Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, aiming to bring classic theatrical works rich in ideological and artistic values closer to the public.

Through the cooperation of the station with art units, the program will become a regular art space and continue to spread and illuminate true cultural values in the hearts of today's public.

According to the plan, the Television Stage will introduce famous plays of many types of theater: drama, cheo, cai luong... All will be broadcast live on television, radio and digital platforms of Hanoi Radio and Television Station.

This has opened up a large space for the stage, not only directly on the stage but also introduced on mass media and digital platforms with high image and sound quality. With this approach, stage plays on television have truly returned to contemporary life.

In collaboration with the Youth Theatre, Hanoi Radio and Television will perform the play “The 9th Word” – the second play of the Television Stage program, one of the pinnacle works of art by famous playwright Luu Quang Vu.

The play was composed in 1986, staged and first performed in 1988 and after nearly four decades, the issues raised in it remain relevant, bringing much contemplation to the audience.

Mentioning the ideals of soldiers in the social upheavals of the early period of renovation when the old and the new were intertwined, the positive and not a few negative things were affecting the lives and thinking of each person every day.

They may be brave soldiers on the battlefield, but the negative life behind them brings many worries and concerns, especially the belief in the ideals and sacred things they are protecting.

The play also criticizes and condemns bureaucracy, conservatism and many bad habits of officials with positions and power, rigidity in principles that lack reason and emotion, and an indifferent and insensitive lifestyle and thinking towards people's lives.

The tense dialogues, inner conflicts, and especially the political language typical of Luu Quang Vu, all in "The 9th Oath" have created a play that is both artistic and topical, reflecting and awakening society.

Artist Huy Hoang plays the role of Deputy Regiment Commander in the play.

The play "The 9th Oath" of the Youth Theater, directed by the late People's Artist Xuan Huyen, was re-staged in 2012 and is one of the theater's most famous and impressive plays and has been performed many times.

In this collaboration with Hanoi Radio and Television, the play features many artists and actors from the Tuoi Theater who are currently loved such as Meritorious Artists Duc Khue, Thanh Binh and actors: Thanh Son, Thanh Duong, Ba Anh, Duc Anh, Duka, Thu Quynh...

The play was broadcast on the evening of June 8 on Hanoi 2 channel and other platforms of Hanoi Radio and Television Station.

Recreating classic plays in the Television Stage program, the leaders of Hanoi Radio and Television do not aim to find something strange or different, but rather want to spread core artistic values. Each work introduced aims to connect today's generation with the previous generation, foster and promote inspiration to join hands to contribute to the development of the country in the era of national development.

The play “The 9th Oath” will be broadcast live at 8:00 p.m. on June 8 on Hanoi 2 channel, and will also be broadcast on radio and all digital platforms of Hanoi Radio and Television (Fanpage, YouTube, HanoiOn application...). With 4K UHD image standard, the program will bring the best visual and audio experience to viewers.
