(Dan Tri) - Duy Tan University, Ho Chi Minh City National University and Ton Duc Thang University have been honored to be named in the 2025 ranking of the world's best universities by subject in the field of Natural Sciences announced by QS.
The world's leading university ranking organization QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) recently announced the rankings of the world's best schools by subject in 2025 (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025).
In the field of Natural Sciences, three Vietnamese universities, including Duy Tan University, Ho Chi Minh City National University and Ton Duc Thang University, have excellently appeared in this prestigious ranking.
Duy Tan University is ranked 377th in the world in this field, the highest ranking among schools in Vietnam. The university also achieved high results in specific groups such as: Environmental Science (top 201-250), Materials Science (top 301-350), Physics and Space Science (top 201-250).

Ho Chi Minh City National University is ranked 451-500 in the world in the field of Natural Sciences. The university has a total of 18 training subjects ranked in the QS table, an increase of 7 subjects compared to 2024.
In the field of Natural Sciences, the school also has notable achievements such as: Mathematics (top 301-350), Environmental Sciences (top 401-450), Physics and Space Sciences (top 401-550).
Some other prominent industries include: petroleum engineering (top 51-100), civil engineering (top 201-275).
Ton Duc Thang University is ranked 501-550 in the field of Natural Sciences. The school is prominent in the following fields: Chemistry (top 451-500), Mathematics (top 251-300), Environmental Science (top 401-450), Materials Science (top 351-400).

Looking at the Southeast Asian region, Singapore remains the "bright star" with the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) excelling at 21st and 24th in the field of Natural Sciences.
In most other fields, these two schools are also in the top 10-50 in the world. In particular, subjects such as Environmental Science and Physics of NUS are also in the global top 10.
Malaysia is also showing a strong position, with Universiti Malaya (UM) regularly appearing in the world top 100 in many subjects. Universities such as Universiti Putra Malaysia and University of Science Malaysia are also in the top 200-300, with strengths in engineering and agriculture .
Being included in the QS rankings is not only an international “passport” for Vietnamese universities, but also opens up countless opportunities. From attracting international students and lecturers, to promoting academic exchanges and research cooperation.
At the same time, this is also a motivation for schools to put more effort into scientific research, improve citation indexes and expand international cooperation networks.
It is impossible not to mention that this ranking also stimulates healthy competition among domestic schools, thereby improving the quality of training and research.
