Accordingly, at 8:00 a.m. on May 2, people in Dong Tam village, Son Hai commune discovered the body of a young man suspected to be the citizen that Quang Kim commune was searching for, so they reported it to the authorities of Son Hai commune. Immediately after that, Son Hai commune notified Quang Kim commune and the victim's family to come and confirm. Through verification, the body found was the citizen that Quang Kim commune was searching for.
Previously, at around 2:30 p.m. on April 30, a young man named Vi Duc H. (born in 1990, residing in Lang Hang village, Quang Kim commune, Bat Xat district) suddenly ran from his house to the Red River bank (in Lang Hang village) and jumped into the river. H.'s family ran after him to save him but could not.
The family said that in the past few days, Mr. H. had been having panic attacks, was mentally unstable, had trouble speaking normally, often banged his head against the wall, and drank a lot of alcohol.
Immediately after receiving the news, the commune leaders directed the commune's departments, branches, unions, and local forces, with the core being the police, military , and commune officials, along with the police force, the district's Military Command, the Quang Kim border guard working group, and the family and people of Lang Hang village to participate in the search.
Currently, the authorities are completing the necessary procedures to hand over the body to the family for burial according to local customs.
