Promoting key investment according to the principle of sustainable development has been focused on by Da Nang city in recent times.

Recently, Indusvalley Chu Lai Joint Stock Company - a member of An An Hoa Group held a groundbreaking ceremony for phase II of the Indusvalley Chu Lai factory for rent project; including the Karcher Vietnam Technology cleaning equipment manufacturing factory phase II.

Ms. Le Thi Nghia, General Director of Indusvalley Chu Lai Joint Stock Company, said that the project is an important part in the development orientation of a smart, modern and environmentally friendly industrial park in the Central region.

The project started Phase I in April 2023 and completed the handover of the Karcher Vietnam Technology Factory to the Karcher Group in October 2023. Phase II continues to affirm the strategic trust from international investor Karcher and demonstrates An An Hoa's strong commitment to creating a superior production and business environment for FDI enterprises, especially in the context of Da Nang becoming a high-tech industrial center of the Central region.

Chu Lai Open Economic Zone (27,000ha) is developing strongly with preferential investment policies. Chu Lai connects with Tam Hiep and Tam Anh and is becoming a center of industry, logistics and high-tech manufacturing.

With more than 70 hectares of industrial land, An An Hoa provides factory rental services with rental prices from 3.6 USD/m2/month with design, construction, operation, legal support, environmental licensing services... An An Hoa is investing in ecological industry, expanding into the fields of industrial support services, expert urban areas, healthcare, logistics.

In recent times, the city has attracted large projects such as the SGI magnetic magnet project (Korea) worth 39.3 million USD; the Uc Thinh super white flower glass factory (China) worth 35 million USD, the audio equipment factory of the Quoc Quang Group (China) worth 40 million USD...

In addition, at Tam Thang Industrial Park, Hyosung Group (Korea) has also adjusted the project of the curtain fabric factory from 210 million USD to 410 million USD. This is a large project cluster of Hyosung Group, promising to expand the investment scale to 1,340 million USD.

Sustainable Development

Da Nang city's industrial zone has grown quite well in recent times. In the north of the city, the city focuses on developing infrastructure systems, forming high-tech zones, industrial zones, and modern, synchronous industrial clusters. In the south, the focus is on developing Chu Lai Open Economic Zone to become a dynamic economic zone of the region and the whole country; developing Chu Lai - Truong Hai automobile complex with a scale equal to the region.

According to Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang, in the coming time, the city will focus resources on developing high-tech industry, processing and manufacturing industry, and supporting industry according to a green and sustainable model. Manufacturing mechanical, electrical, and electronic products in the direction of a circular economy is associated with accelerating the implementation of ecological industrial parks, industrial clusters, and researching and developing the Halal industry.

Sustainable development of mining, mineral processing and construction materials industry. Strive for an industrial production index increase of 5-6%/year; develop the industrial - construction sector to account for about 28-30% of the GRDP structure (total product in the area).

According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Quang, up to now, in Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, there are 14 established industrial parks with a total area of ​​over 3,409.7 hectares, attracting investment in 218 projects with a total registered capital of about 87,773 billion VND (equivalent to about 3.69 billion USD), including 53 FDI projects and 161 domestic projects.

Mr. Quang said: “In parallel with planning work, promoting the implementation of infrastructure investment in existing industrial parks, the priority of attracting investment in industrial development of the unit is to shift from rapid development to sustainable development, from pure, multi-industry industry to investment in specialized industrial parks to support each other such as automobile and textile accessories. Invest in new industrial parks that apply cleaner production, use resources economically and efficiently. At the same time, develop high-tech industries, save energy, reduce emissions, towards a green growth economy, low carbon emissions”.
