Da Nang appoints new personnel for 14 departments and branches after rearrangement

On the morning of July 1, at the First Session of the 10th Da Nang City People's Council, term 2021-2026, the city announced and approved the leadership personnel of departments and branches according to the new organizational model, after rearranging provincial-level administrative units according to the Resolution of the National Assembly.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung, Chairman of the People's Council of Da Nang City, said: The first meeting of the People's Council of Da Nang City has a particularly important political and legal significance. The meeting will pass resolutions and decisions of competent authorities on personnel work, perfecting key leadership positions of the People's Council and People's Committee; consider and decide on the establishment of People's Council Committees, specialized agencies, administrative organizations under the People's Committee, Office of the National Assembly Delegation and People's Council according to the new structure and consider and decide on contents under its authority.

At the meeting, the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City People's Council announced the resolution approving the Deputy Heads of the Committees of the Da Nang City People's Council; appointing the Chief of Office, Deputy Chief of Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Da Nang City People's Council after the arrangement.

Specifically, the Standing Committee of the People's Council of Da Nang City approved the Deputy Heads of the Economic - Budget Committee of the People's Council of Da Nang City , term 2021 - 2026, including 4 comrades: Phan Thi Tuyet Nhung, Nguyen Dinh Tuan, Tran Vu Duy Man, Lam Quang Thanh.

Approved the Deputy Head of the Culture - Social Committee of the People's Council of Da Nang City , term 2021 - 2026, including 3 comrades: Truong Minh Hai, Le Van Nghia, Nguyen Dinh Tien.

Approved the Deputy Head of the Legal Committee of the People's Council of Da Nang City , term 2021 - 2026, including 4 comrades: Ha Duc Tien, Huynh Ba Cu, Nguyen Thi Phuong, Duong Thi Thanh Hien

Appoint Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tien to hold the position of Chief of Office of the National Assembly Delegation and City People's Council after the arrangement; 5 Deputy Chiefs of Office of the National Assembly Delegation and City People's Council after the arrangement include: Le Nho Tuan, Nguyen Van Dieu, Nguyen Xuan Tu, Tran Tan Phuoc, Vu Hung.

Also at the meeting, the People's Council of Da Nang City approved the submissions and draft resolutions to establish 14 specialized agencies of the People's Committee of Da Nang City on the basis of merging specialized agencies of the two localities.

Da Nang City will have: Department of Home Affairs, Department of Justice, Department of Finance, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Agriculture and Environment, Department of Construction, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Education and Training, Department of Health, Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism, Office of the City People's Committee, City Inspectorate, Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, Department of Foreign Affairs.

Pursuant to the Resolution passed at the meeting, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City issued decisions appointing civil servants to lead and manage specialized agencies.

In which, Mr. Phan Van Binh, Head of the Organizing Committee of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee (old) holds the position of Director of the Department of Home Affairs and concurrently holds the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoang Sa Special Zone . The unit has 7 deputy directors.

At the Department of Justice, Mr. Trinh Minh Duc, Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Quang Nam province (formerly), was appointed as Director, along with 4 deputies.

Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Tam continues to hold the position of Director of the Department of Finance , this unit has 11 deputy directors.

Ms. Le Thi Kim Phuong continues to be Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, along with 5 deputy directors.

At the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Mr. Pham Nam Son continues to hold the position of Director, with a team of 13 deputy directors.

Mr. Nguyen Ha Nam continues to hold the position of Director of the Department of Construction , with 10 deputy directors.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province (old), holds the position of Director of the Department of Science and Technology , along with 6 deputy directors.

At the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism , Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh continues to hold the position of Director, the unit has 9 deputy directors.

Ms. Le Thi Bich Thuan continues to be Director of the Department of Education and Training , with 4 deputy directors.

The Department of Health is directed by Ms. Tran Thanh Thuy, with 8 deputy directors.

Ms. Tran Thi Kim Hoa, Head of the Inspection Committee of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee (old), holds the position of Chief Inspector of Da Nang City , with 5 deputy chief inspectors.

Mr. Nguyen Nhu Cong, Director of the Department of Finance of Quang Nam province (old), holds the position of Chief of Office of the City People's Committee , along with 9 deputies.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Binh continues to hold the position of Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs, a unit with two deputies.

At the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions , Mr. Nguyen Manh Ha, Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee (formerly), holds the position of Director, the unit has 3 deputies.

The People's Council also approved the 2025 staffing proposal after the arrangement of provincial administrative units with the agreement that there will be 2,692 civil servant positions in the People's Council and administrative organizations under the provincial People's Committee. The number of civil servants at the commune, ward and special zone levels is 5,714 positions.
