Late on the afternoon of June 13, at the National Assembly House, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man chaired a meeting with relevant agencies to review preparations for organizing the question and answer session at the 9th session of the National Assembly.

After listening to reports from agencies and units on preparations for the question and answer session, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man highly appreciated the preparation work.

The National Assembly Chairman reminded: “Voters and people who follow the question-and-answer session live on television and radio will “score” whether the ministers are open-minded and see the limitations of their sectors and fields of responsibility. Along with that, we need to focus on how to implement solutions in the future. This is an issue that voters and people are looking forward to. We must fulfill our responsibilities.”

By promoting the application of digital technology in the activities of the National Assembly, the National Assembly App 2.0 will support delegates and ministers in asking and answering questions.

In the upcoming question-and-answer session, delegates who want to debate will press a button on the National Assembly App instead of holding up a sign as before. In each question-and-answer session, the chair will invite 3 delegates to ask questions, each delegate will ask for no more than 1 minute and ask 1 question.

The question and answer session will take place next week, from June 19 to 20, with two groups of issues:

The first group of issues is in the financial sector, with the main responsibility for answering belonging to Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang.

The content of the questioning focused on financial solutions for socio-economic development, ensuring growth targets, renewing traditional growth drivers, and establishing and promoting new growth drivers.

Along with that are solutions to improve the operational efficiency of state -owned enterprises, solutions to support and promote the development of the private economy into the most important driving force of the economy, solutions to promote the attraction of foreign direct investment (FDI) and mechanisms and policies to promote, attract investment, and develop industrial parks and economic zones.

The second group of issues is in the field of education and training, with the main responsibility for answering belonging to Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son.

The content of the questioning focused on the current situation and solutions for developing and improving the quality of university education associated with the requirement of creating high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of socio-economic development.

Along with that is the implementation of legal regulations on extra teaching and learning; work to ensure a safe, healthy and friendly educational environment; prevent and combat school violence; and ensure food safety and hygiene in schools.
