According to the Guardian , the world's oldest man died at the age of 112.
John Tinniswood, born on August 26, 1912 in Liverpool, UK, was confirmed as the world's oldest living man in April. He died on November 25 at a nursing home in Southport, Merseyside, "surrounded by music and love", his family said.
The family statement read: " John always loved to say thank you. So on his behalf, I would like to thank everyone who cared for him over the years, including his carers at Hollies Nursing Home, his GP, ward nurses, therapists and other healthcare staff ."
At the time of his death, Mr. Tinniswood was survived by a daughter named Susan, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was also the fourth oldest man in British history.

In a statement from his family, he was described as intelligent, determined, courageous, calm in a crisis, gifted in mathematics and a great conversationalist. He moved into Hollies Nursing Home just before his 100th birthday, where his kindness and zest for life were an inspiration to the staff and residents.
Earlier this year, Mr Tinniswood told Guinness World Records when he turned 112: “ I don’t feel old, I don’t get excited about it. That’s probably why I’ve lived to this age. I just live day by day like any other thing, why I’ve lived so long I don’t know.
I don't think there's any special secret. When I was young, I was quite active, I walked a lot. Whether that has anything to do with it, I don't know. But for me, I'm no different from anyone else, absolutely no different."
Apart from eating a portion of fish and chips every Friday, Tinniswood says he doesn't follow any special diet: " Whatever people feed me I eat and so does everyone else ."
Mr Tinniswood was born the year the Titanic sank and lived through both world wars, becoming the oldest surviving male veteran of World War II. He worked as an administrator in the British Army.
In addition to accounting and auditing, his work included logistical tasks such as searching for missing soldiers and organizing food supplies. He later worked as an accountant for Shell and BP before retiring in 1972.
Tinniswood is a passionate Liverpool FC fan, born just 20 years after the club was founded in 1892, having witnessed all eight of the team's FA Cup wins and 17 of their 19 league titles.
He met his wife, Blodwen, at a dance in Liverpool and they were together for 44 years before she died in 1986. Tinniswood was recognised as the world's oldest living man in April when he turned 111, after Venezuelan war veteran Juan Vicente Pérez died at the age of 114.
The longest-lived man on record was Japanese Jiroemon Kimura, who lived to the age of 116 and died in 2013.
The world's oldest living woman and current oldest living person is Japanese Tomiko Itooka, who is 116 years old.
