Amidst the flood, officers, engineers and workers remained at the scene, not afraid of danger to ensure absolute safety for the plant's operating equipment system. Thanks to the methodical response plan from the leaders of Petrovietnam and the Oil and Gas Power Corporation, along with the collective solidarity of Hua Na Hydropower Joint Stock Company, and its member unit, Nam Non Hydropower Plant, they all overcame the flood safely, without causing major damage.
As soon as the floodwaters began to recede, dozens of officers, engineers, and workers of Hua Na Hydropower Joint Stock Company, along with its member unit Nam Non Hydropower Plant, immediately set out for Luong Minh Commune - one of the "flood centers" to join hands to help people overcome the consequences of the natural disaster. Regardless of the difficulties, from early morning to late afternoon, the red-shirted electricians worked tirelessly to clear mud, rearrange tables and chairs, and clean up schools and houses to help people in the flooded areas.
“We just hope to do something meaningful so that people can return home soon. Although everyone is tired, no one is reluctant,” said Mr. Nguyen Trong Thach - Deputy Director and Chairman of the Trade Union of Hua Na Hydropower Joint Stock Company.
The company also allocated an emergency budget for localities that suffered heavy damage, totaling VND300 million. Specifically, VND100 million was supported for Tuong Duong commune, VND100 million for Luong Minh commune, VND50 million for Tam Quang commune and VND50 million for Tam Thai commune. At the same time, it mobilized 1 excavator, 1 specialized truck and a team of workers to clear the flow, collect waste, mud and soil in flooded communes.
