Vietnam Electricity Trade Union visits and encourages workers to overcome problems after storm No. 5

EVN Trade Union Chairman Do Duc Hung visited and encouraged PC Thanh Hoa employees who are making efforts to fix the power grid problem after storm No. 5.

The delegation directly visited, presented gifts and encouraged the staff of Quang Xuong and Hac Thanh Power Management Team (Thanh Hoa Power Company), who are working urgently at the scene to quickly overcome the damage caused by the storm. On this occasion, EVN Trade Union donated 100 million VND to Thanh Hoa Power Company, contributing to providing more resources for the unit to soon stabilize production and ensure power supply for customers.

At the meeting, Mr. Do Duc Hung acknowledged and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and the efforts of the leaders and employees of PC Thanh Hoa. He emphasized that each employee in the company needs to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and discipline, working with the motto: urgent, fast and absolutely safe, in order to soon restore power supply to serve the people and socio -economic activities in the area.

The timely concern and sharing of EVN Trade Union is a great source of spiritual encouragement, helping workers to be more steadfast in overcoming difficulties, while spreading the beauty of the culture of solidarity and mutual love of the Electricity industry.

Currently, PC Thanh Hoa is focusing on repairing the damage to restore power to customers soon.

In recent days, Thanh Hoa PC has mobilized maximum human resources and equipment, organizing work day and night to handle the power grid incident. As of 8:00 a.m. on August 28, 2025, all customers who were not flooded or isolated due to landslides, flash floods, or rising water have had their power restored.

There are still some customers whose houses are outside the dykes of Ma River, Buoi River, Chu River, Cau Chay River, Yen River... that are being flooded due to rising river water, forcing them to temporarily cut off power to ensure safety. In addition, some customers in areas cut off by landslides, flash floods, damaged access roads, or power lines running close to fast-flowing streams have not been able to have their power restored.

It is expected that on August 29, 2025, Thanh Hoa PC will restore power to affected customers when safety conditions are met.
