Announcing planning to serve the construction of Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong railway project

On the afternoon of July 11, at the Hoa Lac Village Cultural House, Gia Phu Commune, a plan was announced to recover land, investigate, survey, measure, and count; implement compensation and resettlement support for the project of leveling the ground and technical infrastructure of Thong Nhat Area to serve the site clearance for the investment project to build the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line.

The project was approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 1841/QD-UBND dated June 12, 2025, with a total investment of about 240 billion VND from the central budget, to create space to arrange and relocate production facilities in Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park and Son Man Industrial Cluster, serving the site clearance for the investment project to build the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line.

The project is invested by the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, implemented in Hoa Lac village, Gia Phu commune, with a total land use area of about 28 hectares, including the main items: leveling the ground, scale of nearly 12 hectares; construction of a traffic system nearly 3 km long; complete water supply and drainage system; synchronous power supply and lighting system.

The project implementation period is expected from 2025 to 2027.

At the announcement ceremony, people heard about decisions related to project implementation; land acquisition and site clearance; policies and regimes in compensation, support and resettlement for households and organizations related to the project; and contributed opinions, expressed their thoughts and aspirations when implementing the project.

The successful implementation of the project will create clean land to arrange and relocate production facilities in Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park and Son Man Industrial Cluster, serving the site clearance for the investment project to build a modern railway, raising the position of Gia Phu commune, creating momentum for local socio -economic development.
