Provincial police proactively respond to natural disasters, ensure safety of high school graduation exams

Faced with unpredictable weather conditions, the Provincial Police have prepared forces, vehicles, and are on standby to respond to and handle unexpected natural disasters, quickly overcome the consequences, and create favorable conditions for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam to take place safely and on schedule. Specifically, for roads at risk of landslides, underground areas that are likely to be flooded and blocked when there is heavy rain, there are plans to arrange forces to guard and support students to get to the exam site smoothly, ensuring that no candidate has to drop out of the exam due to economic or travel difficulties. Coordinate with the Examination Councils to have detailed plans for each exam location, proactively responding to natural disasters that occur during the exam. At the same time, organize on-duty shifts according to regulations, closely monitor weather developments, grasp the number of participating candidates, provide necessary information related to disaster prevention and control (PCTT) and search and rescue work for people to coordinate implementation.

Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Hung Hai, Fire Fighting and Rescue Team (CNCH), under the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department (PCCC) and CNCH, said: “We are always at the highest level of readiness, especially in areas with potential risks of natural disasters. The goal is to ensure that no student misses the exam due to travel or weather changes. In that spirit, the unit sends 100% of its staff on duty during the exam days; fully prepares means, equipment and emergency response plans for unexpected natural disasters, and coordinates with other forces to ensure the exam takes place smoothly and safely.”

Not only worrying about the candidates' travel, the absolute safety of the exam papers and test papers is also considered a key task. The provincial police have coordinated with the Departmentof Education and Training to thoroughly check all exam paper storage locations, ensuring that they are not affected by heavy rain, flooding or fire or explosion incidents. Major Dao Minh Quan, Deputy Head of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team, said: The fire prevention system at the exam sites has been strictly inspected. The grassroots fire prevention force has also been fully trained to proactively respond when situations arise.

The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place from June 25 to 28. Of which, on June 25, candidates will complete exam registration procedures; the high school graduation exam will be invigilated on June 26 and 27; and on June 28, the backup exam will be held. The whole province has 34 exam sites with over 7,500 candidates registered to take the exam. It is believed that with the motto "4 on-site" - on-site command; on-site forces; on-site supplies and means; on-site logistics and "3 ready" - proactive prevention, timely response, urgent and effective remediation, the forces will add strength, becoming a solid spiritual support for candidates ready to enter the 2025 high school graduation exam.
