Ha Giang Newspaper trains on software Convergence Newsroom prepares for merger

BHG - On the morning of June 25, Ha Giang Newspaper coordinated with Tuyen Quang Newspaper and Radio and Television Station to organize a training session on using the Converged Newsroom software, preparing for the merger of the two press agencies, expected to take place from July 1, 2025.

Editors and reporters of Ha Giang Newspaper participated in training on the software of the Converged Editorial Office of Tuyen Quang Newspaper.

The training session was attended by technical staff, reporters and editors of Ha Giang Newspaper. On the Converged Newsroom software, staff of the Newspaper and Tuyen Quang Radio and Television Station instructed on key contents including: The process of producing news, articles, photos and videos according to the converged newsroom model; how to coordinate between reporters, editors and editorial secretaries; and skills in publishing synchronous content on print and electronic newspapers.

According to the reporter's notes, the Converged Editorial Software of Tuyen Quang Newspaper (old) has an intuitive interface, is easy to operate, and supports the management of the journalism process in a modern way, from the stage of planning the publication to monitoring progress and content censorship. Some reporters have mastered the operation after only a few hours of practice, showing quick adaptation to the new technical platform.

Reporter Nguyen Diu, Ha Giang Newspaper shared: "I am familiar with the editorial process of Ha Giang Newspaper's Convergence Editorial Board. At first, I was a bit confused when approaching and getting acquainted with Tuyen Quang Newspaper's Convergence Editorial Board, but after a while of listening to instructions, I quickly absorbed it."

Reporter Hoang Tuyen said: "I see that Tuyen Quang Newspaper's Converged Newsroom software updates reporters' news and articles quite quickly. The software has a smooth transmission line, innovation, creativity, and new applications in digital transformation. This is a practical support tool for the upcoming converged newsroom model."

It is expected that after the merger of Ha Giang Newspaper with Tuyen Quang Newspaper and Radio and Television Station, the new provincial press agency will use the converged editorial software of Tuyen Quang Newspaper (old). Therefore, preparing good conditions for the staff, editors, and reporters of Ha Giang Newspaper to access and operate on the new software will contribute to improving the effectiveness of information serving the political tasks and the needs of readers of Tuyen Quang province in the coming time.
