(NLDO) - Today, the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and the South is mainly cloudy, sunny during the day, sometimes hot with the highest temperature ranging from 30-33 degrees Celsius.

According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, today, January 9, the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and other southern provinces is generally cloudy, no rain at night, sunny during the day, sometimes hot; northeast wind level 2-3. Early morning is cold, light fog.

The lowest temperature in the South is from 21-24 degrees Celsius, while the East can drop below 20 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the highest temperature during the day is from 30-33 degrees Celsius.

In Ho Chi Minh City alone, the temperature fluctuates between a minimum of 22 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 32 degrees Celsius.

In addition to the temperature, the humidity in the area is high at over 70%, causing a stuffy feeling. In addition, the districts are forecasted to have a high-risk ultraviolet (UV) index today, ranging from 6-7 around noon. Although the UV index has decreased slightly compared to previous days, precautions are still necessary when participating in outdoor activities.

Therefore, people should prepare carefully before going out by using sun protection measures such as wearing UV-resistant jackets, wide-brimmed hats for protection, sunglasses to protect eyes and applying sunscreen with SPF suitable for weather conditions.

As for the weather in the sea area from Ba Ria - Vung Tau to Ca Mau (including the sea area of Ho Chi Minh City) from tonight, January 9, there will be strong northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas, waves from 2-4 m high. All ships operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by tornadoes, strong winds and big waves.
