In the 2023 high school graduation exam, Nong Thi Dieu Chau (Tay ethnic group), a 12A4 student at No Trang Long Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities, excellently achieved 27.25 points in group C00, of which History scored 9.75 points.

Chau's family lives in Ea Tam commune (Krong Nang district). Her father died early, leaving only her mother to work to support her children's education, so Chau tried hard to study to help her mother. With good academic results, during her 3 years studying at No Trang Long Ethnic Boarding High School, Chau received many scholarships for studiousness. After each week of boarding school, Chau arranged her time to go home to help her mother with the farming.

As one of two students of No Trang Long Ethnic Boarding High School who scored 9.75 points in History in the recent exam, Chau shared: “I am not too surprised to achieve this result because when studying at school, I was exposed to History with very engaging and lively methods, especially after being selected to the school's excellent student team, I love and am determined to pursue this subject even more. Regarding the method of learning History, I learn to understand instead of memorizing. An event, a historical issue has many different approaches, leading to different ways of thinking. Therefore, if I only memorize in a stereotyped, mechanical way, I cannot clearly understand the core issue of that event. Besides reading the lessons in the textbook carefully, I also learn more in advanced books, documentaries…”.

With her constant efforts, Chau has won many awards such as the Gold Medal in History for grade 10 in the 5th Dak Lak Province Traditional Olympic Contest on March 10 in 2021; Gold Medal in History - grade 10 in the 26th Ho Chi Minh City Traditional Olympic Contest on April 30 in 2021; Second prize in the provincial History competition for excellent students in the 2022-2023 school year...

Mr. Nguyen Huy Chung, homeroom teacher of class 12A4, said that Chau is the deputy monitor of the class, always has the best academic performance in the class, and actively participates in many school activities, helping students with weak academic performance in the class, so he is loved by teachers and friends.

With excellent results in the recent graduation exam, Dieu Chau was admitted to Hanoi National University of Education. Chau plans to studyEducational Psychology with the desire to approach, research and find many effective teaching methods for special students such as children with outstanding talents, people with physical and mental disabilities, etc. This is an opportunity for her to study and practice in a new environment and firmly step on the path to realizing her dream.
