" Hanoi Club is ready to create conditions for players to compete abroad. Tuan Hai also tries very hard in training and competing. Currently, we are actively searching and considering options. If there is a suitable offer, the team will help Tuan Hai's dream come true," the executive director of Hanoi Club told Tuoi Tre Online at the team's departure ceremony on the morning of August 13.
Also at the ceremony, Pham Tuan Hai said he always had a desire to compete abroad and would cherish the opportunity when it came.
"The Hanoi Club's leadership is negotiating with teams in Latvia to let me go there. Hopefully everything goes smoothly," Tuan Hai said.
The obstacle for Hanoi FC and Tuan Hai is that the player transfer market in Europe will close in early September. The urgent time frame will significantly affect the negotiation process between the parties.
V-League 2025 - 2026 will start on August 15, so if the deal is feasible, Tuan Hai can still play for Hanoi Club in the first 3 rounds before going to Europe.
Pham Tuan Hai, born in 1998, is one of the talented strikers of Hanoi FC and the Vietnam national team. He is the hero of the Vietnam team at the ASEAN Cup 2024 with a goal against Thailand in the second leg of the final on the opponent's field.
Regarding Hanoi FC's preparations for the new season, CEO Nguyen Quoc Tuan also revealed interesting information about Hendrio da Silva's case. There is a high possibility that Hendrio will become a Vietnamese citizen this season if his naturalization application is approved.
"Hanoi FC registered Hendrio to play as a naturalized player (a Vietnamese player of foreign origin - PV). We are speeding up the process of naturalizing him," said Mr. Tuan.
Hanoi's goal this season is to reclaim the V-League and National Cup championships, to recreate the image of the most traditional force in Vietnamese professional football.
