In late July, thousands of tourists from all over the country made a pilgrimage to the Dong Loc T-junction Relic Site ( Ha Tinh ) to offer incense in memory of the 10 female youth volunteers who heroically sacrificed their lives, and to visit historical sites.
Dang Minh Nhat (born in 2007, residing in Dong Gia Nghia ward, Lam Dong province) shared that his mother took him back to his hometown to visit during the summer vacation and It's so much fun to experience digital tourism here.
"Today, I came to offer incense to the graves of 10 girls and visit. I was very excited that with just a quick scan of the QR code, I had all the data about the Dong Loc T-junction Relic Site with many complete and vivid documents, helping me understand clearly and specifically the details of each historical relic," Dang Minh Nhat expressed .
Since the beginning of 2023, implementing digital transformation to better serve the needs of tourists visiting and learning, the Management Board of Dong Loc T-junction Relic Site (MBS) has installed a digital conversion system at the traditional house. The highlight is the programming to introduce Dong Loc T-junction, the biography and life of 10 female Youth Volunteers, and the system to visit the Relic Site using QR codes using VR360 virtual reality technology.
Through this application, visitors can easily access information in an intuitive way. With just a simple click on the buttons on the touch screen, all content will be displayed in full, accompanied by vivid illustrations. The pilot application of digital transformation with a modern technology system not only brings convenience to visitors but also helps staff and employees to be more convenient in guiding and explaining.
The digital conversion equipment system in the traditional house space has a total value of more than 552 million VND, including 4 items: a 32-inch touch screen with a programming design introducing Dong Loc T-junction; a system for displaying information by pressing buttons and programming the biography and life of 10 female Youth Volunteers; an interactive projection system sending messages for peace to visitors; programming to visit the relic site via VR360 technology from QR codes.
With this smart system, visitors can choose to visit the site by electric car with live commentary or explore through the touch screen system. All information related to the 10 female Youth Volunteers, the history of the relic site, the tradition of the Youth Volunteers, construction items, songs, and poems about Dong Loc T-junction are presented fully, concisely, and succinctly.
Not only that, visitors can also save their emotions through the emotion sharing application or test their knowledge through multiple choice games. The lives and biographies of 10 female Youth Volunteers are also clearly displayed through the projection system, with restored color photos and specific, easy-to-understand, easy-to-remember information.
Talking to Van Hoa, Mr. Dang Quoc Vu - Head of the Management Board of Dong Loc T-junction Relic Site said that keeping up with the digital transformation is an effort of the people who keep the sacred soul at Dong Loc T-junction to promote the value and significance of the special national historical relic on the legendary Ho Chi Minh road system.
"Up to now, digital transformation has been put into operation for more than 2 years, the Management Board has received many positive feedbacks from visitors. Digitalization helps visitors access more historical documents, spreading value to even those who have not had the opportunity to directly visit Dong Loc T-junction," said Mr. Vu.
However, Mr. Vu also said that the application of digital transformation at the relic site still faces certain difficulties. Equipment does not fully meet the needs, incidents occasionally occur while the staff and employees do not have the technical expertise to handle them promptly, especially during peak times to welcome visitors.
"To overcome this, in the coming time we will call for social resources, repair damaged equipment, and organize IT training for staff to better serve tourists," Mr. Vu shared.
