The program was broadcast live on HTV1 channel, and connected online from three points: Saigon ward, Binh Duong ward, Vung Tau ward - three localities that have officially "come together" with Ho Chi Minh City since July 1, 2025.
According to the Organizing Committee, on September 2, 1945, at Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam - opening an era of independence and freedom for the nation. 80 years have passed, that milestone is still the "star" guiding generations of Vietnamese people on the journey of building and developing the country.

“Independence Star” is not only a commemorative art program, but also a tribute to previous generations, an opportunity for people to look back on 80 years of resilience, pride and trust in the future. In particular, the event also has topical significance when Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau have officially become a regional megacity. Each locality plays a strategic role: Ho Chi Minh City is the center of finance, services, science - technology and culture; Binh Duong is the nucleus of smart industry, logistics and creative culture; Ba Ria - Vung Tau is the hub of international seaports, energy and marine tourism.
From this merger event, the art program chose the form of 3 connecting points, an artistic message rich in symbols. The program was designed to connect 3 stages in Ho Chi Minh City taking place in Saigon ward (Nguyen Hue walking street stage), Binh Duong ward (Binh Duong ward park) and Vung Tau ward, with a synchronous live transmission from HTV studio.

The impressive highlight of the art program "Independent Starlight" is the blend of modern technology and traditional art essence, creating a performance space that is both grand and emotional.
The elaborately staged performances follow each other to create an emotional artistic journey: “Dat nuoc tinh yeu” performed by Trong Tan - Anh Tho, “Cho em gan anh them chut nua” with the voice of Huong Tram, or the segment “Ngôn lua doc lap” combining choreography with LED - mapping - laser to bring a unique visual and auditory experience.
For the first time, the program was broadcast live simultaneously at three locations: Ho Chi Minh City - Binh Duong - Vung Tau, so that millions of hearts could join in the rhythm of national pride.
In addition to the September 2nd art night, Ho Chi Minh City organized a series of propaganda and gratitude activities such as: Photo and document exhibition to celebrate the 80th anniversary from August 19 to September 5, 2025 on Nguyen Hue Street (Ngo Duc Ke - Ton Duc Thang section), Dong Khoi Street (opposite Chi Lang Park, Saigon Ward) and No. 1 Ba Cu Street, Vung Tau Ward; Incense and flower offering ceremony to President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang at Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City Branch; Ton Duc Thang Museum; President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park and Nguyen Hue Street; Ceremony to visit the Martyrs' Cemetery at a number of locations in the city organized by the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City...
