A series of activities to celebrate the Day of Ethnic Culture and the 65th anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh Trail will take place in Tan Ky district.

Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 159/KH-UBND dated March 5, 2024 on organizing the Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day on April 19 and the Mobile Propaganda Contest to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh Trail - Traditional Day of Truong Son Troops (May 19, 1959 - May 19, 2024).

Accordingly, these activities aim to practically celebrate the Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day on April 19, the 65th anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh Trail - the traditional day of Truong Son Troops (May 19, 1959 - May 19, 2024); preserve and promote traditional cultural and sports identities; consolidate and strengthen the great national unity bloc, improve the cultural and spiritual life of ethnic people in Western Nghe An.

In addition, it is necessary to widely propagate the tradition of patriotism, national pride, self-reliance, and the will to overcome difficulties and challenges of our army and people under the leadership of the Party to create the legendary Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh trail, affirming the historical significance and epochal stature of the resistance war against the US to save the country.

Through these activities, we also aim to promote and introduce the tourism potential of Western Nghe An.

According to the plan, activities include:

- The art program to celebrate the Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day on April 19 and the opening ceremony of the Mobile Propaganda Contest to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh Trail - the traditional day of the Truong Son Troops (May 19, 1959 - May 19, 2024) took place on the evening of April 19 at the Rear Square facing the front line, Tan Ky district town.

- The Ethnic Minority Sports Festival of Nghe An province took place from April 16 to 19 in Tan Ky district.

- Exhibition of large-scale propaganda paintings commemorating the 65th anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh Trail - Traditional Day of Truong Son Troops from May 19 to 25 at the Rear Square facing the frontline and the Ho Chi Minh Trail Km 0 Relic area, Tan Ky district town.

- Launching ceremony of Mobile Propaganda Contest on April 20 at Rear Square stage towards the front line, Tan Ky town.

In the Plan, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Culture and Sports to be responsible for directing the implementation of the art program to celebrate the Day of Vietnamese Ethnic Culture in combination with the Opening Ceremony of the Mobile Propaganda Contest to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh Trail - the Traditional Day of the Truong Son Troops; coordinate with the People's Committee of Tan Ky district to organize the Sports Competition for ethnic minorities; organize the Mobile Propaganda Contest to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh Trail - the Traditional Day of the Truong Son Troops...
