President of the Volleyball Federation of Thailand Somporn Chaibangyang had to reassure the volleyball world of the Land of the Golden Temple: “Anything can happen in sports , we also have ups and downs, wins and losses. That is a cycle that often happens in sports.”
“We will try to develop better so that Vietnamese volleyball cannot catch up with us. The goal of Thai volleyball is to advance to world class. We have set a goal to catch up with the strongest teams in Europe. When we catch up with European level, it also means that Thai volleyball has approached world level.
Of course, before achieving the goal of reaching the same level as the strongest teams in Europe, reaching the world level, we must maintain our number one position in Southeast Asia. The recent SEA V-League will give us more experience," emphasized Somporn Chaibangyang, President of the Volleyball Federation of Thailand.
