Proactively responding to storm No. 5: Cua Lo Ward evacuates more than 2,500 people to safety
Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 5, the authorities of Cua Lo ward (Nghe An) mobilized all their forces to urgently evacuate more than 2,500 people to safety, while ensuring the anchoring of boats and absolutely not allowing people to stay at sea and in cages and rafts.

In response to information that storm No. 5 could make landfall directly in the North Central region, in which Cua Lo town is forecast to be heavily affected, Cua Lo ward authorities have proactively deployed a plan to "go to every alley, knock on every door" to encourage people to urgently evacuate, especially households with fragile houses in coastal areas. Authorities forced them to take shelter ashore, and at the same time, inspected and reinforced the boat mooring plan at Nghi Thuy fishing port. To date, 260 boats in the area have been safely moored; households with cages have also signed a commitment not to stay during the storm.
