Information from the film distributor Galaxy said that the film “Closing the Deal!” has set a new release date after the controversy involving actress Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien. The film, directed by Namcito and Bao Nhan, will officially be released on August 8.
Namcito - co-director of the film with Bao Nhan - sent his thanks and shared on Facebook.
“7 months have passed. The past 200 days have been filled with hard work, tireless efforts, and not a single moment of hope for the entire crew of 'Close the Deal!'. And today, 'Close the Deal!' is officially back, still full of emotions with interesting things and many surprises!”
However, information about Thuy Tien's replacement actress is still being kept secret by the film crew.
According to the publisher's introduction, the film revolves around the surprising online sales handshakes between Hoang Linh - the director of a successful livestream company and Mr. An (Quyen Linh) - an elderly office worker and technology motorbike taxi driver.

The role of Hoang Linh used to belong to Thuy Tien before this actress was prosecuted and temporarily detained for violations in the production and trade of Kera vegetable candy in May 2025. The series of scandals lasting more than 2 months caused the film to suffer because it had to postpone its schedule and stop promoting it on many media channels.
Specifically, in early March, Thuy Tien was caught up in the first scandal surrounding the sale of a candy that “only one piece replaces a plate of green vegetables.” Many promotional activities for the film were temporarily suspended. The film was postponed for the first time, from March 8 to June 20.
In early April, when the actress was fined 25 million VND for false advertising and had her departure from the country suspended, the screening schedule remained unchanged.
On May 19, Thuy Tien was prosecuted and temporarily detained to investigate the act of deceiving customers. Movie promotion websites, movie schedules, fanpages and many other platforms... all hid or deleted information about "Close Order!" or stopped posting. Movie screenings were almost suspended, with screening dates postponed indefinitely.
On July 29, the film representative announced that it will officially be released in theaters from August 8.
Apart from the main role which is kept secret, the film crew did not share any other changes about the remaining actors. Therefore, in addition to Quyen Linh, the film may still have the participation of Hong Van, Hong Dao, Khuong Le, Mai Bao Vinh…/.
