In recent days, the temperature has increased, greatly affecting people's health. According to forecasts, the hot weather will continue. Accordingly, medical facilities in Ha Tinh have been implementing heat-fighting solutions for patients and medical staff in accordance with the direction of the Department of Health.

At Ha Tinh General Hospital, on average, each day it receives 1,000 - 1,200 visitors and nearly 1,200 inpatients. With a large number of patients, the implementation of heat protection and heat reduction for patients and medical staff during the care and treatment process is of great concern to the Provincial General Hospital.
The hospital has proactively checked the ceiling fan, wall fan, and air conditioning systems in all patient rooms, lobbies, and waiting rooms for timely replacement and repair. Installed additional air conditioning systems and industrial fans in the emergency area and examination department; added curtains and sunshades in many areas. Along the corridors of inpatient departments, there are machines providing free drinking water for patients coming for examination and treatment.

Dr. Le Ngoc Thanh - Deputy Director of the Provincial General Hospital said: "To have more time to examine and treat patients, reduce waiting time, the hospital has shortened the daily meeting time. For departments with many patients, the hospital has added more beds, limiting the situation of patients having to share beds on hot days. At the same time, more doctors and nurses are added to support and provide the best care for patients. The hospital has also organized training on emergency skills for heatstroke and common diseases in hot weather for all medical staff in specialized departments."
It is known that currently, the Provincial General Hospital has directed departments and specialized offices to proactively coordinate with the Pharmacy Department and the Supplies Department to ensure sufficient emergency medicine, vehicles, equipment, and hospital beds to be ready to receive and promptly handle common emergency cases caused by unusually hot weather such as: cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive diseases...

At Ha Tinh Rehabilitation Hospital, in recent years, thanks to the investment in facilities, the examination areas, patient rooms, and treatment areas are all very spacious and airy. All patient rooms are equipped with air conditioners and ceiling fans. Ceiling fans and drinking water are fully equipped in the examination halls to serve the needs of patients. Entering the hot season, the hospital has proactively checked, replaced, and added damaged air conditioners, fans, and water dispensers, and upgraded the electrical system to ensure a stable and uninterrupted power source.
Doctor Nguyen Thi Dien - Director of Ha Tinh Rehabilitation Hospital said: "In addition to investing in heat-resistant equipment for patients, the hospital strictly instructs all medical staff and employees about spirit and service attitude, always being attentive, caring, accompanying and supporting patients, creating the most comfortable and close feeling for patients when coming for examination and treatment".
Mr. Nguyen Van Anh (Dong Mon Ward, Ha Tinh City) whose father is being treated at Ha Tinh Rehabilitation Hospital said: "When I brought my father in for treatment, I was also afraid that the hospital room would be cramped, hot, and difficult to sleep, so I brought a rechargeable fan. However, when I went in for treatment, I saw that the room had air conditioning and a ceiling fan, so I felt very secure, especially at noon and in the evening."

It is known that, following the direction of the health sector, up to now, public medical examination and treatment facilities in the whole province have proactively implemented solutions to prevent heat and reduce heat for patients and medical staff.
Mr. Le Chanh Thanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Health said: "To ensure that patients are examined and treated in cool conditions, the Department has previously issued a document directing medical facilities to deploy solutions to ensure health care and protection for people and medical staff in hot weather conditions. In particular, it requires units to develop plans and solutions to ensure health in response to prolonged heat, especially focusing on ensuring enough clean water for the daily life of patients, their families and medical staff. Strengthen propaganda and guidance for people on measures to ensure health, prevent heatstroke, drink enough water, limit outdoor work during peak heat of the day and ensure hygienic food and drink.
The Department also requires medical examination and treatment facilities to ensure adequate provision of emergency medicines, hospital beds, and emergency equipment to promptly handle common emergency cases caused by unusually hot weather. Strengthen flow, isolation, and prevention of cross-infection of infectious diseases at the unit. At the same time, review and arrange enough seats, add fans to ensure ventilation and coolness for patients while waiting for examination; install air conditioners (if possible); provide free drinking water for patients; arrange enough examination tables, arrange and improve reasonable medical examination procedures, organize reception, and quickly screen emergency patients to minimize patient waiting time.
