Starting from 8:00 a.m. on July 16, the Ministry of Education and Training and the Departments of Education and Training officially announced the 2025 high school graduation exam scores.
Candidates and parents can look up exam scores on the Ministryof Education and Training's system at the website: https://tracuudiem.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn/ or on the websites of the Departments of Education and Training of 34 provinces and centrally-run cities; on the websites of 33 press agencies that have committed to sharing data with the Ministry.
According to the High School Graduation Exam Regulations from 2025, the calculation of students' graduation scores is as follows: Graduation scores = [(total scores of 4 exam subjects + total incentive scores)/4] + average scores of school years]/2 + priority points (if any).
Candidates who are eligible to take the exam, have not been disciplined with their exam results canceled, and have a graduation score of 5 points or higher will be recognized as graduating from high school. In which, all exams and subjects must achieve a score of more than 1 point on a 10-point scale.
After the exam scores are announced, the Departments of Education and Training and high schools will complete the process of recognizing high school graduation no later than July 18. The units will print and send the exam result certificates to candidates no later than July 22.
For cases of exam score review, the collection of review applications and the preparation of the review list will take place from July 16 to July 25. The organization of the exam review (if any) will be completed no later than August 3. Students will be considered for recognition of high school graduation after the review no later than August 8.
Previously, on the afternoon of July 15, the Ministry of Education and Training held a conference to inform about the distribution of scores for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam. The average scores of this year's exam subjects according to the 2018 General Education Program mostly decreased compared to last year (8/9 subjects had an average score lower than 2024). Notably, only Math had an average score below 5 and the Math exam was assessed as more difficult than previous years.
Specifically, the average scores of the subjects in 2025 are as follows:
Math: 4.78; 6.45 in 2024.
Literature: 7.0; 7.23 in 2024.
Physics: 6.99; 2024 is 6.67.
Chemistry: 6.06; 2024 is 6.68.
Biology: 5.78; 2024 is 6.28.
Computer Science: 6.78 (first year the high school graduation exam organized this subject).
History: 6.52; 2024 is 6.57.
Geography: 6.63; 7.19 in 2024.
Industrial Technology: 5.79 (first year of organizing this subject exam).
Agricultural Technology: 7.72 (first year of organizing this subject exam).
Economics and Law: 7.69; 8.16 in 2024.
English: 5.38; 2024 is 5.51.
Comments from some experts analyzing the score distribution show that this year's score distribution accurately reflects the quality of education, with good differentiation, improved test questions, students adapting quickly, and localities making clear progress. The exam not only assesses students' abilities and serves admissions, but is also an important basis for adjusting the national education strategy./.
