Japanese luxury car brand Lexus has just officially introduced the LBX Morizo RR Original Edition SUV, a special limited edition of only 100 units produced and distributed exclusively in the Japanese domestic market. This model was developed based on the LBX urban SUV line, and was directly inspired by the personal car of Toyota Chairman - Mr. Akio Toyoda.
The Lexus LBX Morizo RR Original Edition stands out with its exclusive Sonic Chrome metallic gray exterior, combined with striking yellow details on the front bumper and brake calipers. The design of this special edition recreates the image of the LBX concept that Lexus displayed last year, while also reflecting the personality of Mr. Akio Toyoda - Toyota's president. The interior of the Lexus LBX Morizo RR Original Edition uses a dark brown tone, including the seats, steering wheel, dashboard and door panels, combined with yellow seat belts and a limited edition badge placed on the center console.
The LBX Morizo RR Original Edition is equipped with a 1.6L turbocharged 3-cylinder engine, code G16E-GTS, for a maximum capacity of 305 horsepower and a maximum torque of 400 Nm. Customers can choose between a 6-speed manual transmission EA67F or an 8-speed automatic transmission UC80F GR-DAT, with a full-time 4-wheel drive system. Notably, this special edition Lexus LBX Morizo RR Original Edition does not use the hybrid powertrain and eCVT gearbox like the standard LBX, showing Lexus's clear high-performance orientation. Lexus will not be selling the LBX Morizo RR Original Edition in a conventional manner. Instead, customers in Japan will have to register for a lucky draw to have a chance to order one. This emphasizes the exclusivity and extreme limitation of this special performance SUV.
The LBX Morizo RR Original Edition starts at 7.3 million yen (equivalent to 49,600 USD - about 1.13 billion VND). This is a significant number for a small SUV with a length of only 4,190 mm, but completely reasonable when considering the exclusive design, powerful performance and unique driving experience that Lexus brings. Of the total 100 Lexus LBX Morizo RR Original Editions, 70 were distributed through a lottery system at Lexus dealerships across Japan. The remaining 30 will be sold to the public, but the reservation process will still be through a random selection process.
