He knows how to manage people, control the dressing room and win without making noise," Capello commented on his former student.
Capello also appreciated Ancelotti's courage in accepting to lead Brazil - a team with a rich tradition but equally terrible pressure: "Coaching a national team is not like working at a club. It is much more difficult. But if you succeed there, you reach the peak of your career."
Ancelotti's successor at Real Madrid - Xabi Alonso - also received a nod from Capello: "He did something extraordinary. Leading a team that had never won anything and leading them to dominate the Bundesliga is a great achievement."
Talking about the outstanding individual of the year, Capello did not hesitate to choose Lamine Yamal for the title of Best Player of the Year. "Considering his age and what he has achieved, he deserves the Ballon d'Or," Capello shared.
