VNeID version 2.2.0 was released on July 1. |
On July 1, the VNeID application released update 2.2.0 with many new features. One of the outstanding improvements is updating personal, agency, and organization information according to the new land registry after the merger.
Previously, some people said that VNeID had updated the new address since June 30. However, the large number of queries caused the application to process slowly, or still show the old address. After the update, the application changed to the new address.
To check the exact address and hometown after the merger, users need to update the latest version of VNeID on the App Store or Play Store. Then log in to the application.
From the main screen, select the ID Card/CCCD feature, enter the password and select Electronic ID . Here, the application will display information according to the new administrative boundaries including Place of birth, Place of birth registration, Hometown, Permanent residence, Temporary residence (if any) and Current residence.
Users can also check the address in a second way. After logging in to VNeID, go to the Paper Wallet tab, select View details (under Electronic ID).
After entering the password, the information is also updated similarly. Instead of displaying according to the old structure of commune/ward, district/city, province/city, the address is edited according to the new standard. At the same time, the data also changes according to the new information after the merger.

In addition to updating the new address after the merger, some other improvements on VNeID 2.2.0 include features, utilities, and services for foreigners; agencies and organizations with foreigners as legal representatives or heads.
Next, the application adds public services for issuing ID cards (new issuance, renewal) for subjects from 14 years old, adjusts some functions and utilities to increase convenience for individual users and representatives of agencies and organizations. Finally, fixes errors.
