[Update] - Comments on the allocation of funds to support housing construction for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties

On the afternoon of October 9, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee worked with the Steering Committee of the Campaign to support housing construction for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province in the two years 2024-2025 (referred to as the Provincial Steering Committee) to assess the implementation progress and give opinions on the allocation of funds to implement the Campaign and deploy tasks in the coming time.

According to the Steering Committee's report, the results of reviewing and approving the total number of poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the two years of 2024-2025 in the province are 15,251 households; of which, the number of households needing support for new construction is 10,609 households; the number of households needing support for repairs is 4,642 households.

After more than 5 months of implementing the Campaign, as of October 8, 2024, the total budget received by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at 3 levels (province, district, commune) is over 220 billion 292 million VND. Of which, the provincial level is over 55 billion 110 million VND; the district and commune levels are over 165 billion 182 million VND.

Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Pham Thi Thanh Thuy presented a report at the conference.

As of October 8, 2024, 8 districts, towns and cities have transferred money to the Provincial Steering Committee, with an amount of over 28 billion 570 million VND, including: Thanh Hoa City 15 billion VND; Hoang Hoa over 4 billion VND; Nghi Son town 2 billion VND; Vinh Loc district 2 billion VND...

According to the report of the Steering Committee of District, Town and City Party Committees, as of October 8, 2024, 19 districts, towns and cities have started to build new and repair houses for poor households, policy households and households with housing difficulties. The total number is 884 houses, of which 778 houses were newly built and 106 houses were repaired, specifically: Thanh Hoa City built 72 new houses and repaired 44 houses; Thach Thanh district built 111 new houses; Thuong Xuan district built 200 new houses and repaired 18 houses...

Based on the mobilization funding source and the Submission of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee, the plan to allocate mobilization funding at all levels is: Allocate 11 billion 060 million VND (from the Provincial Steering Committee's source) to build houses for 301 households subject to inter-settlement according to Decision No. 4845/QD-UBND, dated December 1, 2021 of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman on approving the Project "Arrangement and stabilization of residents in areas at high risk of flash floods, landslides in mountainous districts of the province in the period 2021-2025" (209 stilt houses, 89 1-storey houses, 3 2-storey houses). Allocate 20 billion 760 million VND (from the Provincial Steering Committee's source) to build new houses for 519 households under the National Target Program on Socio -Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas in 2024; 40 million VND per household.
