At around 4:40 p.m. on August 9, Traffic Police Team No. 2 of Road Traffic Police Team No. 7 (Department 6, Traffic Police Department) was on duty on the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway when they discovered a car with license plate 63A156... acting unusually.
At the same time, the driver, Ms. Dang Thi Ngoc Yen (32 years old, residing in Tan Huong commune, Dong Thap province) signaled for help, drove forward and pulled over to the emergency lane.
Getting off the car, Ms. Yen hurriedly asked the traffic police to clear the way to take a pregnant woman who was lacking oxygen, had a miscarriage, was breathing heavily, and was in critical condition to the nearest hospital for emergency care.
Traffic police said that on weekends, traffic on the route is very heavy. If they do not get help, it will be too late and could be dangerous for the mother and child.
The traffic police team reported to the unit commander and used a special vehicle to clear the way for the above car to take the pregnant woman, Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet (25 years old, residing in Tan Huong commune, Dong Thap province) to the Children's Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City for emergency treatment.
After arriving at the hospital, the traffic police team, along with the family and the doctor, took the pregnant woman to the emergency room. Currently, Ms. Tuyet and the fetus are out of danger and safe. The family was very touched and grateful for the support of the traffic police, who promptly took the pregnant woman to the hospital for emergency care safely.
