Ronaldo and teammates were disturbed during training in Austria. |
The Kronen Zeitung reported that hundreds of fans continuously gathered in front of the Brandelhof hotel day and night, hoping to see Cristiano Ronaldo. Many guests were willing to pay to book rooms in order to have the opportunity to meet CR7.
The situation became tense when a group of children at the hotel knocked on the door of the room, hoping to meet Ronaldo. Austrian press said CR7 was angry and loudly threatened to call the police.
Even hotel staff were caught off guard by the situation. "We weren't prepared for kids to come upstairs and invade our privacy," admitted a security guard.
Many parents expressed disappointment at not being able to meet their idol: "We spent 1,000 euros to be here and still didn't get a single photo or autograph," one guest complained.

Some lucky fans got to meet Ronaldo thanks to arrangements from the organizers. Some fans even posted photos of themselves and asked for CR7's autograph on their personal pages.
“If Al Nassr comes back next year, we will have to consider and prepare everything carefully,” said Alexander Strobl, owner of the Brandelhof hotel. Strobl also blamed Al Nassr for refusing to rent an entire floor to give the players privacy, knowing that the presence of Ronaldo and his teammates would attract crowds.
Fans also gathered at Al Nassr's training ground, creating chaos. Last weekend, Sadio Mane's Mercedes was forced to stop abruptly when a group of fans ran out onto the road, nearly causing an accident. The group only wanted to get the former Liverpool star's autograph.
Al Nassr will play a friendly against Toulouse on July 30. The team will then continue training and travel to Hong Kong to play the Saudi Arabian Super Cup against Al Ittihad on August 19.
