The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has just issued a warning bulletin of dangerous weather due to severe cold and localized heavy rain in the Northern and Central regions, from the night of January 21.

According to information from the meteorological agency, on the afternoon of January 21, a strong cold air mass in the North is strengthening and moving south.

It is forecasted that from the afternoon and night of January 22, Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 20-40mm, some places over 50mm.

Thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rains may cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.
