Vehicles banned for construction of Au Co road expansion

Báo Tiền PhongBáo Tiền Phong18/06/2024

TPO - To serve the construction of the Au Co road expansion project's completion phase, on the afternoon of June 10, the Hanoi Department of Transport had an additional traffic diversion plan. In particular, the section from Alley 399 Au Co to Nhat Tan border gate will be banned from all vehicles from now until June 30.

Specifically, the Hanoi Department of Transport announced that from now until June 30, vehicles are prohibited from moving in both directions from alley 399 Au Co to Nhat Tan border gate (next to Nhat Tan Ward People's Committee, Tay Ho district) and vice versa.

During the above road closure period, the Department of Transport will implement a traffic diversion plan in the following directions: Vehicles wishing to travel from lane 399 Au Co to Nhat Tan border gate and vice versa will move along the existing 2-lane road expansion and residential road (5m road) on both sides of Au Co street; vehicles will make a U-turn at the Quang An flower market intersection (Xuan Dieu) or the An Duong Vuong - Lac Long Quan intersection.

Hanoi Department of Transport requests the Hanoi City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor) to fully arrange traffic guidance signs in accordance with the content of the traffic flow and organization notice; arrange traffic guidance forces at the construction site, important intersections on Au Co Street and coordinate with traffic inspectors and traffic police to guide traffic flow for vehicles participating in traffic at the checkpoints.

For routes that have basically completed traffic infrastructure work (section from Thang Loi Hotel to Xuan Dieu intersection), the Department of Transport requires urgent completion of the traffic infrastructure system according to the approved design (painting, signs, traffic lights, traffic islands, etc.), ensuring traffic safety for vehicles and reporting to the Department to adjust traffic organization accordingly.

After nearly 6 years of implementing the project to build an overpass at An Duong intersection (Ba Dinh district) and the project to upgrade and expand Nghi Tam - Au Co road, the investor has now completed the overpass at An Duong intersection and 2/3 of the expansion of Nghi Tam - Au Co road. Currently, the project still has a section from alley 399 Au Co to Nhat Tan border gate under construction and is scheduled to be completed in June 2024 to open the entire expanded road from An Duong intersection to Nhat Tan Bridge, 5.5km long.
