Renewable power projects generate 3,751 billion kWh to the grid

ANTD.VN - According to Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), by the end of September, there were still 4 renewable energy projects that had not submitted price negotiation documents.

Renewable power projects have generated 3,751 billion kWh to the grid.

EVN said that as of September 30, 2024, the number of transitional renewable energy projects that have submitted documents for negotiating electricity prices and power purchase contracts is still 81/85 projects, with a total capacity of 4,597.86 MW.

Of which, 72 transitional renewable energy projects with a total capacity of 4,128.01 MW proposed a temporary price equal to 50% of the ceiling price of the price frame according to Decision No. 21/QD-BCT dated January 7, 2023 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade .

To date, EVN and investors have completed price negotiations and signed PPA contracts for 64/72 projects. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has approved provisional prices for 63 projects, with a total capacity of 3,429.41 MW.

There are 29 transitional renewable energy (RE) plants/parts of plants with a total capacity of 1,577.65 MW that have completed the procedures for commercial operation certification (COD), generating commercial electricity to the grid.

The cumulative electricity output of transitional renewable energy projects from COD to September 30, 2024 will reach more than 3,751 billion kWh.

To date, 32 projects have been accepted by competent state management agencies for the construction/part of the construction, 36 projects have been granted electricity operation licenses for the entire plant/part of the plant; 42 projects have had decisions to extend investment policies.

There are still 4 projects with a total capacity of 136.70MW that have not submitted documents for electricity price negotiation.
