The first exam session of the 2025 high school graduation exam

(Quang Ngai Newspaper) - The 2025 high school graduation exam officially took place this morning. Along with the whole country, more than 14,500 candidates in Quang Ngai province entered the first exam session with the Literature subject. This year, the Literature subject is still tested in essay form with materials outside of textbooks in the spirit of innovation in the 2018 general education program.

Candidates completed the Literature exam on the morning of June 26.

This year's Literature exam has changed the score distribution, specifically the Reading Comprehension (4 points) and Writing (6 points). Different from previous years, the Reading Comprehension (3 points) and Writing (7 points) sections. The exam content is quite interesting, with the reading comprehension section being an excerpt from "Different Skies" in the best short story collection by writer Nguyen Minh Chau.

The writing part consists of 02 parts, the candidate was impressed with the argumentative essay of about 600 words on the topic: Every homeland is the Fatherland's sky. It is a profound message, arousing patriotism, national pride and a sense of responsibility for the homeland and country. Emphasizing the value of each homeland, no matter where, each piece of land, each person contributes to creating the integrity, sacredness and indivisibility of the Fatherland of Vietnam.

Student Huynh Dang Thinh said: " For me, with the neweducation program, the 4-point writing section this year is very practical. With the theme of the peaceful sky being the sky of the fatherland, as for the evidence section, I have more ideas to write about. From there, I can develop my essay better."

“It’s good because it talks about the topic of our country Vietnam, which is developing very well. Nowadays, our country is developing more and more. The topic is about our homeland, making us remember our roots,” said Le Ly Na.

Volunteers support the 2025 high school graduation exam

The first exam session of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam took place safely and seriously. Volunteers accompanied the candidates. Despite the hot weather, the volunteers were always enthusiastic and supported the candidates.

Volunteer Pham Nguyen Duy Cuong said: " We mainly stand here to contribute water to the candidates. The weather is hot, so we contribute water. Another part is to encourage the candidates' spirit in this exam."

This afternoon, candidates will take the Math exam, with a total test time of 90 minutes, the test starts at 2:20 p.m.
