Previously, Ia Rve always had many complicated factors regarding security and order. The situation of teenagers having conflicts, fighting, gathering to drink alcohol and then racing, weaving, petty theft, drug abuse, and gambling were common.

From July 1, 2025, implementing the two-level local government model, the commune police force was reinforced with 15 regular police officers and soldiers, bringing the total number to 26. The commune police were quickly reorganized into 5 teams in charge of each field, increasing patrols and keeping a close watch on the area.

In addition, the Commune Police have proactively coordinated with the Party cell and the village self-management committee to integrate legal propaganda into people's meetings, raising people's awareness of law compliance. The models of "Security Camera", "Connecting Zalo for Security - Peace for Every Family", in coordination with the border guards, have been effectively deployed.

Ia Rve Commune Police propagate drug prevention and social evils for business households in village 1.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quoc Hoan, Chief of Ia Rve Commune Police, said that with the characteristics of a large area and a community with diverse customs and practices, the government and functional forces have flexibly applied many forms of propaganda such as: going to each village, hamlet, and household group; using loudspeakers, mobile loudspeakers; distributing leaflets with familiar images and language. In addition, police and border guards also learn the languages of ethnic minorities to facilitate mass mobilization work. In addition to the regular force, the commune also maintains a network of police officers, village security and order protection teams, mediation teams, and grassroots fire prevention and fighting teams... Thanks to that, arising incidents are detected and handled quickly, maintaining security right from the grassroots level.

One of the most pressing issues was the exploitation of some ethnic minorities who had the habit of going to the forest to transport drugs. The commune police have persistently approached, propagated and educated the law; at the same time, exploited information to coordinate with specialized forces to destroy many hotspots, and sent addicts to compulsory drug rehabilitation. Up to now, Ia Rve has been recognized as a drug-free commune.

Ia Rve commune police went to the houses of villagers in village 3 to propagate and disseminate the law.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Chairman of Ia Rve Commune People's Committee, said: Recently, the locality has launched the movement "All people protect national security"; mobilized people to denounce and detect crimes; completed the Steering Committee for crime prevention and control, and assigned the Commune Police to be the standing body. The Commune People's Committee has also directed the police to coordinate with functional agencies to strengthen propaganda work; publicize hotlines and give rewards to organizations and individuals who promptly detect acts of encroachment on forest land and illegal exploitation of forest products...

Many crime prevention models have been effectively implemented: “Ensuring security and order and preventing and combating women trafficking”, “Preventing child marriage and incestuous marriage”, “Strengthening the dissemination of laws to officials and people in border areas”… Thanks to the concerted efforts of the entire political system and people in the commune, drug abuse has been eliminated; petty theft, gambling, lottery, cockfighting… have almost disappeared; young people have completely stopped gathering to race and cause trouble, and there is no longer any encroachment on forest land.
