BTC speaks out about Miss Vietnam contestant receiving complaint and accusation

On June 24, the Miss Vietnam Organizing Committee officially responded to the receipt and handling of complaints and denunciations from a number of contestants participating in the contest.

Miss Vietnam contest does not fix results

According to the Organizing Committee (OC) of Miss Vietnam 2024, recently this unit has received a number of complaints and denunciations (both official and anonymous) related to a number of contestants. Notably, some of the denunciations not only reflect the contestants but also indirectly raise issues about the fairness and transparency of the Organizing Committee and the jury.

The Organizing Committee of the contest affirmed that through 37 years of history with 18 editions, Miss Vietnam is a noble title and a prestigious brand. To achieve that, fairness and transparency are always put first by the Organizing Committee and the jury. The Organizing Committee emphasized that there is no room for fixing results in the Miss Vietnam contest.

Regarding complaints related to the contest and Miss Vietnam contestants, the Organizing Committee said that it always considers them thoroughly and seriously in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Denunciation and guiding documents for implementation; Decree No. 144/2020/ND-CP dated December 14, 2020 of the Government regulating performing arts activities; Project, rules and regulations of the Miss Vietnam contest licensed by State management agencies.

In addition, for some denunciations that do not meet the conditions of the Denunciation Law and current regulations, the Organizing Committee will still verify the verifiable content. With the spirit of respecting the law, the Organizing Committee of Miss Vietnam regularly consults law firms to handle all denunciations, in order to ensure the prestige of the contest and fairness to all contestants participating in the Miss Vietnam contest.

Regarding some information circulating on social networks related to some candidates, the Organizing Committee provides official information as follows: "Up to now, the candidates' application documents and resumes, anthropometric test results, and the candidates' study and work processes all fully meet the conditions for participation as stipulated in the contest rules and regulations issued by the organizing committee. During the contest, the candidates comply with the contest rules and regulations in Decree 144/2020/ND-CP on performing arts activities".

The Miss Vietnam final will take place on the evening of June 27 in Hue.

Miss Vietnam said it is always ready to receive comments and feedback from organizations and individuals to ensure the contest is held transparently, objectively, in accordance with the approved contest plan and the rules and regulations that have been issued.

The Miss Vietnam 2024 contest has been held for more than 6 months, with rounds from preliminary to national finals. From hundreds of contestants across the country, the organizing committee has selected the 25 best contestants to attend the final round in Hue city in June 2025.
