Tourism revenue during the Great Festival in many provinces exceeded the threshold

On the occasion of National Day this year, Da Nang City recorded more than 620,000 visitors, tourism revenue exceeded 2,200 billion VND, affirming its position as the leading destination in the country.

Da Nang welcomes 620,000 tourists

On September 2, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang informed that during the 4-day National Day holiday of September 2, 2025, Da Nang City organized many exciting cultural, artistic, sports and tourism activities, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere among the people and tourists.

The streets and tourist attractions of Da Nang City are filled with flags and flowers on the occasion of National Day September 2.

Highlights include the ceremony to pay respects and offer incense to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2) at martyrs’ cemeteries; the art program “Da Nang Concerts”; the largest-ever traditional boat race on the Han River with 26 participating teams. The system of museums and relics opened free of charge on September 2, attracting a large number of visitors.

On this occasion, the city welcomed more than 620,000 tourists, including 168,000 international visitors (up 49%). Total tourism revenue reached more than VND2,200 billion, up 28%. Room occupancy rate of 4-5 star hotels reached 65-70%, many places were over 80% full. From August 29 to September 2, Da Nang International Airport welcomed 730 flights, with an average frequency of 146 flights/day. Of which, there were 436 domestic flights and 294 international flights. Chu Lai Airport welcomed 34 domestic flights, equivalent to the same period in 2024.

Da Nang Museum and some scenic spots of Da Nang City are open for free on September 2, welcoming visitors to visit and experience.

Propaganda activities, visual decoration with 6,500 billboards, thousands of national flags, flower clusters and lighting systems have contributed to creating a brilliant city appearance, filled with flags and flowers. Security and order work, serving tourists were well implemented, no major incidents occurred.

On this occasion, Da Nang Museum, Cham Sculpture Museum, Da Nang Fine Arts Museum and Ngu Hanh Son scenic spot will open free of charge on September 2. These are special cultural tourist attractions of Da Nang city; they have been and are being upgraded and renovated to enhance the visitor experience.

In particular, major tourist destinations such as Ba Na Hills, Nui Than Tai Park, Mikazuki, Hoi An... all organize special programs, attractive promotions, attracting a large number of visitors. The city also maintains 5 consecutive nights of the Dragon Bridge breathing fire and water, serving tens of thousands of people and tourists.

Thanks to the synchronous implementation of measures, the work of ensuring security and order, ensuring safety at tourist attractions, beaches, museums, and relics has been maintained, leaving behind the image of a friendly, hospitable Da Nang, worthy of being the top destination for domestic and foreign tourists.

Khanh Hoa tourism revenue during National Day holiday September 2 reached over 960 billion VND

Information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province at noon on September 2 said that although the National Day holiday on September 2 lasted 4 days, right at the time when students at all levels were busy preparing for the opening day of the new school year 2025-2026, the number of tourists coming to Khanh Hoa for sightseeing and relaxation still reached 907,952. Of the total number of 275,137 guests staying, there were 68,020 international guests and 207,117 domestic guests. Compared to the same period in 2024, it reached 110.3% of the total number of visitors and guests staying; reaching 147.65% of international guests and 101.90% of domestic guests.

The average room occupancy rate at accommodation establishments reached 79.36%, with the number of tourists mainly concentrated in the first 3 days of the holiday in the areas of Bai Dai, Doc Let, Binh Son - Ninh Chu, Vinh Hy, Ca Na and resorts on the island with room occupancy rates of over 80%... Total revenue from tourists to Khanh Hoa during this holiday was over 963 billion VND, reaching 128.38% over the same period in 2024.

Along with strictly implementing the provisions of the Law on Tourism, tourist areas, entertainment venues, accommodation establishments, food and beverage service establishments in Khanh Hoa province also focus on innovation and improving quality, ensuring security and safety for tourists, fire prevention and fighting, food hygiene and safety, environmental sanitation, price registration, price posting and selling at the correct listed price.

According to Cam Ranh International Airport, from August 30 to September 2, there were 566 flights taking off and landing, an increase of about 30% over the same period in 2024, including 316 international flights and 250 domestic flights. Accordingly, the total number of passengers transported through Cam Ranh International Airport was 106,432, an increase of 35% over the same period in 2024.

Meanwhile, Nha Trang Railway Transport Branch also increased the number of trains on the Nha Trang - Saigon route and vice versa. Khanh Hoa Bus Station and Transport Services Joint Stock Company said that during the 4-day holiday, there were 170-175 departures per day, serving 3,500-4,000 passengers. Nha Trang Southern Interprovincial Bus Station connected 79 bus routes to 28 provinces and cities in the country and 1 intra-provincial route. In addition, on September 2, Khanh Hoa welcomed the Star Voyager cruise ship to Cam Ranh International Port, bringing 1,000 tourists from many countries to visit the southernmost land of the Central region.
