BPTV - where young MCs reach their journalism dream

BPO - In my mind, the impressive image of the first day of the "little flames" of the BPTV Junior MC Club entering the studio with sparkling eyes filled with a desire to explore is still intact. They came here not only with the dream of hosting a program but also with innocence and strong belief in the good values ​​that journalism can bring. The job of a junior MC is not simply a new experience, but also a door that opens the journey of growing up, a journey of inspiration and lighting up dreams for themselves and many other children.

The bright smiles and enthusiasm of the children at the event “I love journalism” on the occasion of International Children’s Day June 1 at BPTV. Hopefully the children will continue to explore and develop their passion for their future careers.

Inspiring first steps

On the first day of the students at BPTV, the atmosphere in the studio was like a festival with laughter and innocent stories. Nguyen Do Tra My with a clear voice, tremblingly holding the script, reading while glancing at me as if asking for help: "Teacher, if I say something wrong, is it okay?". Hoang Thu Ky had a strong source of energy, adapted quickly, confidently introduced herself and talked skillfully, as if she had worked with the microphone for a long time. My words of encouragement and motivation were the source of motivation to help the students overcome their initial fear, boldly expressing their own personalities on radio and television.

As the days passed, each rehearsal and recording session was a new story. The first time Thao Nhi and Tue Minh stood in front of the camera, the two of them couldn't help but be nervous, they could only fiddle with their dresses, not daring to look straight at the camera because they were nervous, but unexpectedly, during the main introduction, the two of them loudly said: "Welcome to the program Music Garden of Childhood. I am Thao Nhi. And I am Tue Minh, I am very happy to meet you in today's program!". I saw the proud eyes of the parents, the joy of the children when they finished the introduction, my heart was also filled with faith in the little flowers.

Each child has their own personality. Le Nguyen Tra My, Le Ho Thuy Linh, Do Gia Han, Truong Ho Quynh Anh, Ta Bao Phuc, Nguyen Duy Anh are young but careful and eager to learn. I often quietly observe them during recording hours, taking notes of each of their strengths so that next time they appear on air, they can do better.

Shine and be passionate

Not only simply memorizing the script or practicing their voice, the children's MCs are also trained to be patient and confident in expressing themselves. Hoang Thu Ky's message asking me after a period of collaborating with the program: "Teacher, this time I want to try writing a script, is that okay?" made me surprised and proud when the children started to actively create and write their own content to convey their own colors. The familiar, child-like but equally witty and creative scripts attracted not only the children but also the adult audience. This is proof that each child coming to the program not only finds the opportunity to learn, but also finds themselves and dares to express their abilities.

One day, after a day of working with the crew on an outdoor program, Thoại Anh - Thảo Nhi confided: “Thank you for trusting us and letting us be MCs on the scene. Through today's program, I feel like I've matured and love journalism more.” That statement touched my heart. Throughout the journey, I realized that the most important thing is not how long the students can speak in front of the camera, but that they truly feel the passion for journalism, respect, sharing, and spreading positive values ​​to the surrounding community.

Looking back at the journey of growth of the children in the BPTV Junior MC Club, I understand the profound meaning of opening up experiential spaces for children to embark on their journey of journalism. They not only inspire their peers but also leave a beautiful impression on the hearts of television audiences through each episode of the children's program on BPTV.
