Soldiers of Regiment 6, Thua Thien Hue Provincial Military Command help schools clean up floods.

Thuy Thanh 1 Kindergarten (Huong Thuy town, Thua Thien Hue province) is one of the schools that was deeply flooded in the recent flood, flood water submerged teaching equipment, playgrounds and left a large amount of mud. To accompany teachers, more than 50 officers and soldiers of Regiment 6, Huong Thuy town Military Command and local militia forces were present in time to support teachers in cleaning classrooms, wiping tables and chairs and clearing a large amount of mud, garbage, etc.

Teacher Nguyen Thi Kim Tu, Principal of Thuy Thanh 1 Kindergarten, shared: "The school mobilized staff and teachers to clean up as soon as possible, but encountered many difficulties because most of them were women. Thanks to the support of the soldiers, the school was able to ensure facilities and be ready to welcome students back to school as soon as possible."

Soldiers share difficulties with preschool teachers.

Taking a break after many hours of cleaning up mud, Private Vo Van Tam, a soldier of Battalion 1, Regiment 6, Thua Thien Hue Provincial Military Command, confided: "With the responsibility of a soldier, we are always ready to accompany teachers to ensure a stable learning environment for students."

Similarly, at Huong Vinh Primary School No. 1 (Hue City), after the flood, a large amount of mud was left behind. With the cooperation and contribution of local militia soldiers, the school quickly cleaned up the basic situation and was able to welcome students back early next week.

Teacher Nguyen Thi Huyen, the school's principal, said: "Up to now, 90% of the cleaning work has been completed. Without the support of the militia, it would be difficult for teachers to complete the cleaning this week."

In Thua Thien Hue, although it is no longer raining, some localities located in low-lying areas such as Huong Thuy town, Phu Vang, Quang Dien, Phong Dien districts, etc., the flood water is still quite high. With the motto that as the water recedes, the Army forces will actively support schools and people to overcome the consequences. The most important thing is how to help people stabilize their lives soon, and students return to school soon.

After the floods, rivers in Thua Thien Hue province left behind large amounts of mud and waste.

Major Nguyen Van Minh, Political Commissar of Battalion 1, Regiment 6, Provincial Military Command said: "In the coming time, we will continue to carry out the task of helping people in the area so that everyone can soon stabilize their lives and return to their daily work and production routine."
