Binh Khe develops high-tech industry and agriculture

(GLO)- The achievements over the past 5 years, along with the potential and advantages of Binh Khe - a new administrative unit after the merger of Tay Thuan and Tay Giang communes, are a solid foundation for the commune to build a breakthrough, comprehensive and sustainable development orientation.

Sustainable agriculture , dynamic industry

In the period of 2020 - 2025, agriculture in Tay Thuan and Tay Giang (old) has gradually transformed towards sustainability, focusing on increasing added value. By the time of the merger, the total food output of the commune reached over 9,600 tons/year, with an average growth of 5.1%/year.

The model of large-scale fields, concentrated commodity production areas, introduction of new high-yield varieties, mechanization of production and development of biosafety livestock farming have improved production efficiency and increased income for people. The national target program on new rural construction has been implemented synchronously, many criteria have been improved, changing the face of the countryside.

Not stopping at agriculture, Binh Khe has also risen to become a bright spot in the province's industrial production with a growth rate of 13.7%/year over the past 5 years. The locality has attracted 11 investment projects with a total registered capital of VND 2,020 billion. Cau 16 Industrial Cluster is one of the few industrial clusters in the province with a 100% occupancy rate.

Currently, 4 secondary projects at Cau 16 Industrial Park and 2 secondary projects at Go Giua Industrial Park are operating effectively, creating stable jobs for thousands of workers. In addition, the commune continues to attract 2 infrastructure investment projects for industrial parks with a total scale of 112 hectares and 3 high-tech livestock farms in Thuong Son area.

Trade and services have developed remarkably, growing 15.1% per year. Market systems, transportation services, food and beverage, repair services, etc. have been expanded, in which the Nguyen Sinh Sac Memorial Site continues to be a cultural and historical destination that attracts tourists. At the same time, investment in infrastructure has been focused; key projects such as the Thuong Son irrigation canal, irrigation systems and intra-field traffic have been put into use, contributing to improving production capacity, etc.

Accelerate infrastructure investment, improve human resources quality

In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Binh Khe Commune Party Committee set a target of an average total product value growth rate of 15.6%/year; of which, agriculture - forestry - fishery increased by 4.3%/year; industry - construction increased by 20.6% (of which the industrial sector increased by 17.1%, the construction sector increased by 37.1%); trade - services - tourism increased by 9.8%...

The commune identified four strategic breakthroughs: Synchronous investment in socio-economic infrastructure; development of modern, environmentally friendly industry; promotion of high-tech, organic, and circular agricultural production; improvement of the quality of staff, response to digital transformation, and administrative reform.

Secretary of the Binh Khe Commune Party Committee Nguyen Van Khanh emphasized: We make the most of opportunities, promote advantages, and mobilize all resources for comprehensive development. The focus is on completing the socio-economic infrastructure system, especially in the construction of industrial park infrastructure, transportation, irrigation, healthcare, education , and cultural institutions.

Promote the development of industry, handicrafts, trade, and services, create breakthroughs in attracting investment and creating jobs. In agriculture, the commune determines to associate with high technology, expand the linkage chain, and increase product value. Strive to achieve advanced new rural standards by 2028.
