Binh Duong: Investigation into suspected case of mother beating her own child to death

Binh Duong Provincial Police are taking statements from Nguyen Thi Phuong T. (28 years old, from An Giang province) to investigate a murder case.

On the evening of May 16, T. returned to his rented room in Tan Dinh ward, Ben Cat town, Binh Duong province after work. At the same time, two children, NHGB (3 years old) and NHGA (1 year old, both T.'s biological children) were in the room.

T. lay on the floor and slept for a while, then A. cried, so he tried to comfort her but failed. T. used his hand to hit A. many times, until he stopped crying and went back to sleep. Late that night, T. woke up and discovered that the victim was no longer breathing, and his body was purple, so he asked someone to take him to the hospital for emergency care, but A. had already died.

Upon receiving the information, Ben Cat Town Police arrived at the scene to investigate the incident. Initially, T. confessed to hitting his child many times, but did not know where he hit.

The suspect also confessed to being an employee of the karaoke bar, and before the incident, he had drunk beer and used crystal meth.
