>>> Short clip recording the whale's appearance by author Dang Van Hai:
Directly discovering the whale, Mr. Dang Van Hai (a young photographer in Binh Dinh province) shared: "I saw the whale appear at around 4 pm on June 25, while experiencing and taking photos of the seaweed season in Nhon Hai peninsula. At that time, the whale continuously opened its mouth wide on the sea surface, seemingly hunting for prey. On the sea surface, many species of birds flocked to compete for a share, making the scene very beautiful."
The whale appeared to feed for about 30 minutes and then swam away to continue its hunting journey.

At the time the whale appeared, many tourists experiencing the sea area of Hon Kho - Nhon Hai also witnessed it directly and recorded images with their phones.
According to marine ecology experts, Binh Dinh province’s 134km long coastline, rich marine ecosystem, clean and calm waters are creating an ideal environment for rare marine mammals such as whales to come and feed. The continuous appearance of whales in the summer is a positive sign that marine resources are recovering strongly.

In recent years, whales have continuously appeared in coastal waters of Binh Dinh province, especially in coastal areas such as De Gi (Phu My district), Nhon Ly, Nhon Hai... Most recently, on June 7, 2025, a large whale was also recorded hunting near the coast of My An commune (Phu My district).
